I was assigned to the 903 AMEF, based at Phu Cat, RVNM. I arrived in country late Feb '68. We were a part of the 903 AMES and as such served all over. From Dong Ha, Quang Tri, Hue, Danang, Qui Nhon, and flew into many air bases evacing marines, army and air force personnel. We were responsible for all fixed wing medivac operations in country using the Caribou, C 123, and C130 aircraft which held as many as 130 patients.
The 903 got a Presidential Unit Citation (PUC) for our actions and support during TET '68.
We thank the Marines, Army and Air Force personnel we were privileged to provide care for and the protection and support we received from them.

My father, Paul Manikowski, was a Army Medical Corpsman in the 1st division during 64-66ish that drove an ambulance in Ben Cat, Vietnam and/or near Siagon. I am looking for anyone that might have driven ambulances with him or was stationed with him that new him or had pictures of him. My father has passed away last January from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma caused from the Agent Orange.

I went to Vietnam on a troop ship with the 38th BPO that formed up at Ft.Riley,KS. Our entire command went on the ship,"John Paul Jones". We were approx.8 miles outside of Saigon & practically had to build our own post office. After serving there for 10 mos.,I was wounded in action during the TET OFFENSIVE on 2/2/68. I'm presently the chapter commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart,here in Springville,AL. I would love to hear from someone who was stationed there from 4/67-4/68.

I was stationed at the marble mountain transmitter sight. Just trying to find men who was there with me . I was there from nov 67 to nov.68. We had dogs come in and walk our lines at night. We also had a marine mortar team stationed with us. I'm not much on remembering names but these are the one i do remeber. i remember a Powers who was and x green beret but had joined the navy. I remember a Fields from osh kosh wisconsin. I remember a Campbell from ohio. We had a chief naked Blevins. i remember a Jenkins. After 40 years its hard to remember it all. I have a few pictures if anyone wants a copy of them. Thanks for letting me post this LJ
