I am looking for some information on my father, because he doesn't talk about the war; I'm now 32, and fear that I will never know what happened during his years there. The only thing I know is that he had a tiger stripe uniform in his closet when I was little, and said, I think at one point, that he served with the 3/27th Marines. But I'm not sure if he was in the Navy or the Marines. The only story he ever told me was about when he was blown off a jeep he was riding in from a landmine, and the head of his rifle cut through his cheek (I think that is why he wears a beard). I'm not even sure what name he would have gone by; he grew up in Bridgeport, CT and spent some time in Vermont before heading out to Vietnam in 1967, I believe. His current name is Charles "Skip" Koch, and any information that you can provide me with would be much appreciated. I also remember hearing a story about his camp exchanging grenades for ammo w/the special forces camp that was right beside them? I would be interested in finding some of his old friends, as he is not very computer literate! I can be reached at koch_steven@hotmail.com or skoch@ceui.org
Thank you for your time and service for our Country.
