Was at Cam Ranh Bay in USAF 12th CES 7/67 to 7/68. My buddy 'Bud' Parker and I were injured somewhat (no purple hearts) during the attack on the Air Base in April 1968. Have many pictures of the fires and chaos. Parker nearly slit a philippino's throat when he dived into our sandbag bunker seeking shelter. Any who remember us includung Maj. Emsdorff our CO please contact me at the email above. Love to hear from you, Within 10' radius we recieved three rockets into barrels of gasoline or 500 gal bladders of JP fuel,

Had an unbelievable tour in '71.
Went as 11B, but was made an MP upon arrival in country. What a break!
Did 2 weeks of OJT in Long Binh, then on to Cam Rahn with the 95th MP Co.
Placed on TDY w/101st out of Camp Eagle during last push into Khe Sanh that spring. Ran convoys, worked w/VN MPs and Regular Police.
When over, returned to CRB for a pretty nice life inside the wire. Got a secret clearance (another story) became a courrier, moved to the beach and lived with the Specail Services crew. Life was good....until there was a RIF & all OJT MP's went back to original MOS.
That got me a permanent assignment w/ 1st of the 506th, 101stABN doing LRRPs & night ambush patrols based out of Camp Evans.
Would love to hook with any of the guys from my old units.

Plt Sgt i was assigned to Bandido Charley Co nov 67 to may 68 my call sign was bandido charley 3/5 i remember binh phoc,thunder road, my tho,bridge,y bridge, road convoys,fagle flights,night ambushes,cai lai,dong tam, vinh long, tan an, saigon, tan son nhut air base,, tan tru,rung sak,the pineapple,plantation,cholon race track, the cemetery out side of the cholon race track,fire support base jaeger,and many others but names escape me . things were moving vary fast back then i was wounded twice and was reassigned to the p.x. warehouse in vung tou, any way welcome home brothers.and have a happy holidays thanks 1SGT DON T> CORO RET

I served in Vietnam from November 1, 1968 to February 23, 1969. I was attached to A Battery 1/14 Infantry Artillery 198th Light Infantry of the 23rd Infantry Division in CHU LAI. I received wounds on LZ Gator and was subsequently evacuated state side.
