I served in Viet Nam 1969-70. I was in A Company 2/506 Infantry 101st Airborne Division. My nickname was Baldy.

Dear Vietnam Vets,
My name is Cindy Nguyen. I am posting in this guestbook today to ask everyone a favor. My grandfather was a warrant officer who was in charge of the mess hall at Headquarters 23rd, 13th Artillery Group, 2nd Battalion, Phu Loi, Binh Duong. My grandparents lost contact with each other after the war ended. Most of the information that my grandmother had of my grandfather were destroyed when the VC came. All that I know about my grandfather is that his last name was Smith (which is not really helpful since its very common). He was of average height and was in his late 20s to early 30s. He may also be part German. My father and I are not looking for any benefits or advantage when we set out to search for my grandfather. We only want to know who my dad's father is, and if my grandfather is deceased then where he is lay to rest so we can at least leave him some flowers on holidays. Please if you have any information or know of any ways to help me and my father please contact me at CindyNY2007@aol.com. Knowing who his father is means a lot to my father. I have attach a url that leads to a baby picture of my dad when he was one years old. I was told that my grandfather himself took that picture and still has a copy of his own.

Looking for anyone who served in Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station Hawaii, and was sent to Vietnam in March of 1965

I was a patient on Ward 5 of the 93rd EVAC, 28JUL70 to 13AUG70. I am searching for the nurses who took care of me during my hospitalization so that I can thank them.
The nurses who signed my records were Lt. M. ( believed to be Mary) Reynolds, Capt. R. ( possibly Rita) Spencer, Lt. V. Gardiner, Lt. M. Stralka, and a Lt. Malbins.
With all the patients these ladies dealt with, they probably will not remember me, but I feel they may remember my 'case'. I was the early onset rabies patient who lived.

I was a helicopter pilot with the 1st Infantry Division and with the 101st Airborne Division in 1967 - 1968. I am contemplating a trip back to Vietnam as a tourist, this time.

Was with B + C 1st 8th 4th ID. May 67- May68. Joined B co. at Jackson Hole right after the "9 days of may". Hurst was my squad leader. Got malaria after a few months and came back to C co. after hosp.Was with C co. until May of 68. Would like to hear from anyone who remembers me. Edger Wilson, Dominic Poveromo ,Wayne White, any of you out there.

Was in Vinh Binh/Tra Vinh from Nov 68 to jul 69 - looking for PBR crews that ran the Ba Sac and came up the canals to visit us. Used to trade with the navy for bar b que supplies and meat.

I was in D/3/1,11th bde. first then23rd Admin motor pool which was in the same building as 23rd MP. Would love to hear from some of my old friends. May the Lord bless you all.
