Mr. Bollman, My Father was stationed in DaNang He was with Motor Transport in the Marine Corps. I am not sure what time he was over there and I am sure you have met so many people while you were there, but I was wondering if you knew him, his name is Charles Kossick. I think he was a "Butter Bar" at the time and I know he worked with the Mechanics. I guess that would've put him in the motor pool. He retired from the Marines in 85. He got out as a Major, he went the Mustang route and made Officer's rank while enlisted. If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. Thanks for your time and Always SEMPER FI !!!

Hello and thank you for letting me post this. First of all, I was never in the millitary, but my dad(william "Bill" Franklin Wehrle) and my brother(Billy Joe Wehrle) both was in the U.S.Navy. My dad was in WWII and my brother was in the veitnam war. I just wanted to say to all the people that turned there backs on our troops who served in veitnam, you should be really ashamed of yourselfs. Anytime any us soldier puts his or her life on the line to pretect our freedom and freedom of others, we all should get behind our troops and let them know how proud we are of them. These men and women are the toughest, the bravest and the best of the United States of America.Going back to the veitnam war, I wasnt born until sep. of 1965, but how do you turn your back on troops that fought and died doing what they was ordered to do.A lot of them didnt agree to why they was there, but they did what was asked of them and to all the troops that served, living and the ones who didnt make it, I wanted to say thank you, and to appoligize for all the people who turned there backs on you.I now have 2 nephews in the war in Iraq, I am behind them and I suport them and all of our troops, not only in Iraq but ones that are scatterd throughout the world. From the cival war to the wars now, I thank all of you for being there and for the outstanding jobs you have done.Im very proud of all that served and now serving. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. and GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. givem hell.

served in '68 with 1st MarDiv, and with 1/27, 1st Mar Div , including operation Allen Brook, on lovely Gho Gnoi island. still feel we were right to go, wrong to pull out and leave those who depended on us. if only the politicians had let the generals fight the war to win. God Bless all those who didn't come home, we miss you.
